GAME DESIGN

Week 6 (August 1st - August 5th)
Instructor Corinne Takara

In this week, campers will explore the block programming tool Scratch and will create playful game controllers made of cardboard, fabric, pipe cleaners, modeling clay and an assortment of conductive materials. The working prototypes they will create and iterate upon will hook up to a computer via a MakeyMakey device to become game controllers or musical instruments. The Scratch games and toys they design will be showcased at the end of the week. Using Tinkercad, campers will also have the opportunity to design game dice or game figurines to be 3D printed.
