Week 5: Product Design & Prototyping
July 18 - July 22
Instructor: Danielle Martin

Have you ever looked down at something and thought "I could design something way better..." If yes, join us for this week of adopting user centered design and design thinking.  In this week of innovation and rapid prototyping, we'll identify a common everyday problem for a user in our community, define the problem through empathy interviews, research existing solutions then use the skills of both business and product engineering to design a solution.  We'll create sketches and 3D prototypes out of recycled materials then iterate using tools of digital fabrication.  We'll practice both user testing and product pitching on the last days.  You might even walk away with a possible invention or small business idea to pitch!
